    Default Guided trip ideas

New to the site as well as crappie fishing. Wanting to come down from Ohio to hire a guide to learn techniques on how to catch crappies. My questions are what lakes do you suggest as well as guides I can hire to LEARN from. I’m not really pressed about a fish count. I want knowledge first and foremost.

Sinclair's Guide Service | Guided Crappie Fishing Tours in North Carolina Freddie is one of the best. Can learn both long-lining and tight-lining.

Try Maynard Edwards at extremefishingconcepts.com He does a lot of longline trolling out of a pontoon on HighRock and other lakes like norman etc.

I'm a transplant from Ohio and live on High Rock. I considered myself pretty good at catching Crappie up there. High Rock kicks my butt all the time. It's nothing like fishing up home. This is a tough lake, in my opinion. On any given day, fish are caught in different areas and depths at the same time. Right now you'll see on here that people are catching them deep. I myself am catching them in 4 foot of water. It's crazy.
This past fall and through now, I've caught the biggest fish since I've lived here.
I'm saying all of this because, if you find a guide, if be sure he is versatile and not just stuck on one method.
    Good luck.
