After yesterday, we had to give it another try. Same location but caught fewer perch & more crappies. Again, black jigs wlth yellow tails with minnows caught the fish. Some of the rods had 1/16 jigs with a shot about the same size & other rods were rigged with the drop shot rigs bouncing off the bottom. Results were about the equal.
Temperature was 55 to 58 & speed was about .7. Fished in the first 1/3 of the creek off the main channel.
We ended up catching about 45 crappies, 2 cats & maybe 25 perch. All the perch were small.
Another fine outing, congrats

Mr. Charles! Please, leave me a couple crappies for next week trip. Glad you blasting away on them. It's been long over due I think for all of us. I wanted to go up there. But the wind was to harsh ripping across Lake Wylie. Tail wind was 2.7 on anchor lockGreat report and Pictures included. Did go in Torrance Creek for a little while but no calm place to fish. We managed 34 perch and one crappie on the go.
Maybe next week when I'm off I can get there before the winds start. You are doing good Mr. Charles don't let up!
