    Angry Wylie 3-27-18

Finally, a great day on wylie with very little wind & the fish were hungry. We put in at the Catawba park this morning & headed to Beverdam. Never had to go anywhere else. Caught most trolling jigs with minnow down close to the bottom in 25' using the drop shot rigs. However, some of the perch & crappies hit 1/16 jigs with minnows & a small split shot about 12' down. The jig color was black with a yellow tail.

Big fish was 1 & 3/4 lbs. We threw back about 12 crappies that were just about 8".

Final tally was 32 crappies & about 70 perch.

Good work Mr. Charles and thanks for the report and pictures. I will be out tomorrow morning somewhere trying my hand at longlining with Everett as Captain at the helm. Hopefully we will find some biting. I have always liked Beaver Dam Creek for fishing any time of the year.

Brett, he didn't rain on your parade, he joined it with another way of fishing. All in all both of you have set the tone for the next few weeks on Wylie with the weather changing to warmer days and water. Just don't stop following the fish now and you'll be on target when it does bust wide open. Both of you did great today!
