Rain a coming
Looks like things may get rough for D'Arbonne and the Ouachita River just as the river is starting to go down. Rain event for Wednesday/Thursday is predicted to dump as much as 6 inches on those watersheds. We're under a flash flood watch through Thursday night.

Same here... Black Lake is just almost getting back right, it sure would be nice if they got it wrong

I know what ya'll mean the water level has been doing strange things the last couple of days. Sat morning the bayou in front of the house stopped back flooding, flowing from South to North and has been at a stand still. This morning it started flowing South again and looked at it tonight moving North again, water level dropped about 1 in leaving me with about 3" on my porch. If we get that amount of rain in the Red and Black Rivers water shed it will put a lot more water in my yard. Fishing may have to be put on the back burner for a wile. So much for Turkey season, I guess I'll have to bye them swim fins.

I read years ago that turkey Population depended on the Ground not being too wet for the eggs to hatch properly...
