Sunday Sailin
Drove down to my folks house in Ft. Pierce to try our luck for some dolphin. Only 1 peanut (small fish), not to good for dolphin. The sailfish were chewing, went 1/2 on sails got a quick pic and release of this one. Great day on the water, had my boys and my brothers boys with as well as the old man on the boat. The kids all got to see the sailfish up close. It was a great experience.

SeaVee is a great riding boat, give it a couple weeks and maybe the dolphin will show up in greater numbers.

The Dolphin, Mahi-Mahi, or Dorado all same fish, are one of the most FUN fish I have ever caught. About 5-6 years ago was fishing the Pacific and we were using sardines on light tackle and WOW! talk about an acrobatic fish, yes sir! lots of fun, specially when they get around that 20# size.
Good luck, hope you post some photos of the Dolphins when you catch them.

I cant speak for how he was fishing, but thats exactly how my buddy was catching them in Stuart. The sails were actually bycatch. Freelining live sardines on spinning rods. Its a blast for sure. Far more fun than trolling like they do so much of up here.Originally Posted by pescador
