    Default Boat in shop

I was just dialing in on Keowee and had to go to Charleston this last week. New boat, warranty work and put on the front sonar. I called the dealer in Columbia in February and told them I would be coming through last Monday then coming back through on Friday and I could pick up the boat then. They said ok. Fast forward to Monday morning get to the dealer service guy says well I have 62 boats to service in front of you. WHAT? I called a month ahead. Left boat to get fixed now can’t get the Service guy to give me a timeline. It’s a 6 hour round trip down there to pick it up. I can’t just drop of a dime drive down there. I have to put it in my schedule. Called twice Service guy not there. Emailed no return email. I’m not a happy customer. If there wasn’t warranty work involved The boat wouldn’t be there. UGGGGH. Sorry about the rant.

That's tough! Like you....I'm also missing the WHOLE spawn due to my boat being in the shop. Been there for almost 2 weeks now. I HOPE I get my boat back next week.....but time will tell.

SDS, I bought a new boat a long way from home once, got it for $500.00 less than I could get it much closer to home. Had to take it back a couple times, that ate that so called money I saved right up. I would suggest to anyone who is looking for a new boat to stay as close to home as you can.

Any boat dealers close that can do your warranty work instead of the place you bought it? Does not sit well I know! Good luck with it.

Big dawg it’s a crestliner the only one I know of is Columbia and the next is TN. I should’ve gone with a manufacturer that was closer.

Thats tough, sorry to hear, i noticed boat dealers down here are swamped. Either there is a shortage of techs and mechanics, more people need work done, or people buying new equipment keep bumping to the front of the line. Still trying to figure out why the backlog is so bad down here. I brought my boat in for servicing in minnesota and they get it in immediately or wait is no more than a week. Understanding i am home on vacation and a face to face, they allow me to keep my spot in line and let me drop it off the day of and not lose the boat sitting in there lot. I just noticed customer service at service departments for boats is lacking in south carolina. Im not sure buying local will help much down here, i lost my boat for two weekends for the kicker motor install and still wasnt done when i went to pick it up when it was promised and waited and actually helped doing the install. Another time i dropped the bost off for a week for a motor servicing and later discovered the oil was never changed.
