    Default Bargain jig dress up

I picked up some bargain jigs at Walmart for $ .50 per 10 pack, so I dusted off my old fly tying gear and spruced them up a bit!

I might buy some more jigs if they still have them. I did buy some plain road runners, but I'm not sure what to put on them yet.

Jigs look good! Personally to tie them I would cut the collar off and actually they will probably weigh closer to what they say they are after you cut them off!

If your Roadrunners also have a collar I would cut them off, but that's me!

    Thanks!

I cut the collars off- However I wondered how much lighter it may have made them.

Were they clearance'd out there too? I went back and bought another $5-6 bucks worth. So thats 100+ jigs or so. I love cheap stuff.

Just grab a decent vise and the necessary stuff in a few colors!

Well from my experience they base weight (even though they still don't get it right) on the side of the head and when they want a mold to have a collar they use the same size head as one that has no collar. Of course that's impossible that they both weight he same right? Still mostly the real weights are not true anyway. I have a digital scale and have weighed so many sizes, most between 1/80 Oz - 1/4 Oz and it's very rare for one to be correct!
