Lighter winds are always better on Washington, unless you're fishing the woods, then a southwest wind wouldn't be bad.

Thinking of making my first trip there this weekend. Trying to decide on the day. Do y'all think the heavy winds out of the SW on Saturday or the lighter winds out of the NE Sunday would be better? Also, do y'all think they're still in the trees?
Thanks!!!

South wind on Washington is going to be ripping up the lake, especially 10-20mph. Wouldn’t know about em being in the trees, haven’t got up in them in the last 3 years.

My tournament partner lives 3 minutes from Washington and has a guide trip scheduled Saturday. He’s driving an hour to fish elsewhere, and he fishes a 21 ft ranger. Fish can probably be caught, but she’ll be rough.

Thank you very much. Is he driving elsewhere because the fish aren't biting there or because of the wind? What do you think about a NE wind like is predicted Sunday?
Due to wind, NE has some places to hide, but in the trees it shouldn’t be as bad as in the middle of the lake. Anything 10-15 unless West or east will produce some good wave action all the way down the lake

High winds there is no lake I've been on that allows u to fish more comfortably than Washington. I fished a tournament 4 years ago and the wind was straight line 30 mph with gusts in the mid 40's. Thank the Lord we were on Washington. If your gonna fish the trees I wouldn't worry about it. Just go fishing and hope you enough for supper.
