Default Crappie Updates Lake Wateree & Fishing Creek

Any updates out there concerning both Lake Wateree & Fishing Creek on the Crappie Bite ?

Caught a dozen or so fishing ledges on Monday at Lake Wateree and the fish were holding in 40 FOW but slow to bite.

    Thanks for an info.

Sounds like you were fishing the pattern to catch the bigger females. It will probably be slow until they start schooling on brush or start going into the coves. I would anticipate next month they will start back up again. Last weekend they werent in the coves or shallow brush despite clear skies, water was still 43-44 degrees.

I'd stick with Wateree, I fished Fishing Creek last Friday and Saturday, and never got a bite.... But it could be because I don't know what I'm doing too!!

Yes they were big females and most of them had shad in their stomachs and eggs were go size already

Yes I probably will. Was just wandering if anyone else was having any luck in any other areas of the lakes.
    Good Luck !

No luck from colonel creek to the lower dam. This weather has them all messed up. Caught 2 all weekend, off of one of my brush piles. Tight lining. Didn't get a bite throwing jigs to the bank either. hopefully it will get better in the next few weeks.
    Water temp was 59-60 degrees.

Went and fished Mar 12 & Mar 16 with no good results. Hopefully this weather will break soon and the fishing will get better

Cooler water temps at 52 degrees Saturday did not produce any crappie in the creeks where I was catching them. I am thinking they moved out towards the channel. I ultimately got forced off due to wind before I could tightline and test that theory by fishing some structure near the channel.

Must be them same on most lakes. Sat.On Wylie. I caught 3 while longlining. Over 18-20 fow. Caught one on crank bait. Plenty of green carp and slimers in there. Water temp was 52-54 where I was. Gonna be better soon.
