    Default CHENEY 3 17 2018


    More new boat slips dropped in. Pink tubes worked best Saturday - lotsa people fishing and not much wind. Water temp around 49. Biggest fish was a 13" black crappie.

    DRFISHDUCK, I have never fished Chenny, is it worth a 2 1/2 hour drive. If so is there a motel with outside electrical connections close by. Is there any standing wood in the lake or is it a brushpile/dropoff type lake. Many more questions.

    I go to Cheney because the boat ramp is 28 miles from my house in Wichita. No standing timber that I know about. Most boats are after wipers, walleye, cats. I like EL Dorado and other lakes "some small" better. Motels in Hutch and Wichita - no info about elec connections. I plan on hittin other lakes this year - most are 2 hours and less from Wichita.
