I don't know if the spawn will be done or not. Lots of cold weather keeping lake temps down. I would think that will be a good week. Most techniques should work. I would long line in the big creeks like south saulty and roseberry

I知 planning a trip down to guntersville first week in April. I was wondering if maybe someone could suggest some better tips or techniques for this time of year. I知 sure the spawn will be way past so just trying to get some help from you guys so that maybe our trip will be more worthwhile. I値l be staying in Langston so any suggestions will help. Thanks, and God Bless.

Looks like great timing if the weather holds out! Be safe on your trip . Fish should be in all stages when you get here!
I'm from central MS and our spawn will be going strong around that time. Some places start late February and others continue till May all depending on the weather. I would think early April at Guntersville would be a great time. I took my first trip there this last Thanksgiving week, loved the place. It's about a 4 hour drive for me but can't wait to get back over there.

I'd try Town Creek. The fish should be spawning by then. This cold snap has brought the water temps down to 54 and pushed them back out. I think you'll be good then. I really got into them last year in April on Town Creek.

Love, what more can I say
Thanks for the responses. I’ll definitely be sure to try out those places you’ve mentioned. It sounds like you’re weather has been a lot like ours. We’ve had the wettest February on record sending lakes beyond summer levels. It’ll be a while before things return to normal like conditions here too. Thanks again.
