    Default Saltwater fishin with Speckdetedtor

We put in at HC and ran up to "poll & troll" area, spotted a few at first = didn't really connect with em ...
Went lookin = ran all the way up to "Tiger shoal" hoping to bump some up on the way but NADA = long way
to not see any. Ran aground on "Tiger shoal", had to get out and pull boat about 25-30 yards.
Went on to "Shotgun Pass" and took it all the way up/over to JB's fish camp = took short break.

Wanted to show Jeff the shortcut across to Intercoastal waterway (Channel on west side), I forget
the name of that path through there, we took a couple guesses but were wrong etc, etc, etc ...

It's called something Creek, I forget, Huntingslabs might be able to tell us ...........
Anyway here's a Google map pic of where we thought the way was, by that tree line (noted on pic)
    but was way off.

Long story short, we skunked out...... More running than fishing.
We did stop in the HC and threw out some live finger mullet but NADA, finally came on to the house.

Sorry we skunked out Jeff, had a good day otherwise ......

Went up that way one time, stayed at Lopez campground a few days.
Spent lots of time getting separated from the bottom lol.
Small flats skiff and a jackplate would be handy items for sure.

I got nothing on that one. I know there is one from Edgewater side past 3 Sisters. Daughter and Son in law went to Edgewater this morning and caught 3 snook. All just under slot. That lagoon is tough with all the pressure it gets.

Yeah, I just called Terry & Ginny and got it = It's called "Slippery Creek" ........
FYI = Ginnie's parents sold their ranch and Terry and Ginny sold their (both) RV campers
and bought a house on a canal just north of the boat mfgr there (I think its Carolina Skiff = not sure) .....
and moved parents in etc, etc, etc .....
They been getting everything settled = haven't even been shrimping/fishing this year yet .....
I don't think they crappie fish anymore .........

The "deteCtor" thanks you for the trip...well can't kill'em all the time & learned of some "new" water, that being the shotgun passage, some good looking water= deep, drop-off's, & oyster bars.....let me tell you guy's, Phantom is fearless in shallow water, had that boat on plane in 10",8", 6" & land-ho full tilt....was good she "motor" got out on that long run to stretch her legs so to speak. Forgot to mention, might have had a limit of blue crab if we brought some chicken legs...anyways always good conversation & thanks for the cup holders, the odds have to be in our favor at this point for the next one....the winter bite is no-where near the summer bite for me some reason....

Been years since I been up there, need to go more often for sure. I think I got that "Slippery Creek" passage down now = right there where that big house sits (Eldora) ......

Yeah spell checker messed up (Speckdetedtor) etc, etc, I "DON'T" hit wrong keys ......
I guess we shoulda stopped a few times and ventured on east from the poll & Troll line looking for some over in those areas.....
Thought for sure we'd bump some up as far as we ran up that line ......
Let me know when you're ready again Jeff .... We'll just have to do a repeat trip .......
Next time, more fishing less running ......
Did want to show ya all that area up there .....

Glad it was a good trip and nothing got broke or whatever. Fish were off for me today too but we managed some anyway. Nothing to brag on, other than losing the copper nose bluegill of the century. Gotta get better over there soon, you guys have been putting in the time.
