Is Boone Lake any good for crappie?

Boy that's a GOOD question! I grew up about a quarter mile from Boone lake and learned to fish there as a kid. I rarely caught crappie. Now that I fish for them almost exclusively, I've still had fishless days on Boone, but occasionally manage a couple. TWRA does stock black and blacknose in Boone by the thousands, but for ME at least, they're hard to find. I'd suggest driving bout an hour down the road to Douglas or Cherokee.
