    Default Braved the winds today

Took a day off work and took my newlywed son out for a little bass action. Would normally go after Specks but with the winds Bass was an easier day for us. put in at Southport on Lake Toho and made a quick run in the rough waters to the lock and into Southport Canal to get some shielding from the winds.
Not a bad outing with the front pushing thru, The biggest was an 8 pounder. Had a great day for sure! Side note, this time of year we are 100% catch and release.

Yea West lake was fun today, but coming out of the lock we were going straight into the wind so was not to bad, East Lake Toho on the other hand, if the wind is forecast to be over 7 mph I go elsewhere, That's a scary lake, seen it glass smooth and 10 min later looked like a hurricane was brewing.

Great pictures & those are some healthy fish
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"
