Default I pilot link not tracking straight at slower speeds

I know I have asked this question before, and several of y’all have answered but I’m still looking for solutions for Ipilot link. I have an 859 down image hummingbird on the front with the transducer mounted on trolling motor , I have an 899 side image hummingbird at the steering wheel with transom mount transducer. They are Ethernet linked. I have latest software on remote and controller of ipilot as well as on my birds. I know and my fishing partner can verify that when i first got the setup the unit tracked straight if i set a waypoint out in front going against wind and i could go 0.3 or so and it would go straight to the waypoint with reasonable variance for wind gusts. Now if i try the same thing or zig zags all over the place. So much so that i have given up setting the speed and just adjust the speed by 1 2 3 etc. i know about the north button. I have reset factory defaults. I don’t have external gps puck and since i do remember it working better on the beginning i don’t want to possibly waste money and it should work anyway. Anybody have any suggestions. I talked to hbird guy i grizzly jig last year. No real answers. Maybe it’s just the best this thing can do. If so i am disappointed.

Regular i-Pilot is better due to constant human input. Lighter boats get blown off course worse than big heavy boats. Still, for my money, I like just the regular i-Pilot

With the new updates do you have to have the Bluetooth heading sensor? Just installed Ultrex and it came with an additonal heading sensor that is only for the trolling motor not the graphs. Apparently it has to be calibrated, etc.

I have had both, pre bluetooth and bluetooth, and the cruise control on neither seem to work as good as my first terrova Ipilot.
With that said I prefer the Link over regular Ipilot, I like the remote better and I use the functions it ads a good bit as well. Following a contour line sometimes is the best thing since sliced bread, sometimes I never have to even touch the remote once I set it for 30 minutes or so, but those are in really good conditions.

John, we had problems with remote dying in cold weather. On tourney day, it was no bueno. 3 strikes screwing up trips for us and buddy sold it. I wouldn’t have it on my boat if it was given to me. But, it looks to be awesome if conditions allow it to work right
