    Wonder why when you buy a boat from BPS, they don’t have those covers on them?

    Because not all states require them, good ol Illinois is one of them though. Make sure your batteries are strapped down too.

    I don't think I have ever seen a battery post cover, besides the one that comes on the battery when new. Anybody got a link to one that meets IL. requirements?

    I just tie wrap a piece of 1/8" rubber over the post. Was checked once and was ok.

    It doesnt specify what to use just covered with insulated material.
