I keep mine in livewell and throw back at end of day about 50-75 percent of time. Other days I throw back to get down to the number I want to bring home.

Jay,
I have a Hero 4 silver and Hero 5 black. Video is great but sound is terrible on both. Do you use a mic? Just how do you rig up for sound, as your sound is very good. Also how do you mount cameras on yourself (head and/or chest mount)? I need some advice so that I can improve my fishing videos. See you at the lake soon.

Ruben I use the head mount about 90% of the time. I have also used a clamp mount mounted to the windshield of my boat and facing aft. As far as sound is concerned I do not use an external mic. What you hear comes from the mic in the Go Pro. I guess having it mounted on my head is what makes the sound clearer. When preparing the video for publication I use imovie which may enhance the sound also. Perhaps Youtube improves the sound. Not sure??
Slabs on thanked you for this post
