    Default RPM's for 1998 Yamaha 2 stroke 115 V4

What is the correct RPM range at WOT for this motor?

Mine is showing 6200 on the tach at WOT. I was told that the max should be around 5500, but I'm not certain the guy knew for sure. I may need a new tach, I don't know. This is a new to me boat. I've only taken it out once.

Could be, but I'd have to go up 3 sizes to bring it back down into normal operating range. That sounds like a lot to me...

I got a new tach today. Guess I'll know for sure soon.

I'm thinking around 5800 is perfect but don't hold me to that
