    Default Santee this weekend-Lake Marion

Definitely going to Santee this saturday and sunday. Prob put in at jacks creek. Plan is to long line to start. I am assuming that the cold front may keep the fish out in the channels now, instead of up shallow on the trees. Is this way of thinking off? Or would i be better off to single pole jig around the zillions of trees and brush that i can locate?

Fish the way you like... single pole will work sometimes better than multiple pole fishing, from the reports I've heard there in the Creeks so you should be able to find them. But it Santee, everything can line up and they still don't bite. have fun.
    If you don't get hung every-once-n-a-while you ain't jigg'n it right..:D

That cold front (IMO) will ONLY effect the fish when the water temps change. That might happen quickly but maybe not. From what I see around here the fish are preferring to bite baits that are 5'-8' deep and to change the temps at that depth it might take quite a change in temps to change the water depths at that range. That's how I look at it anyways. You got to go open-mined and look at your graph and "trust" what you see on your depth finder and fish accordingly. Don't waste a whole day fishing an area where youre marking fish if they wont bite either. Move around and fish somewhere they will bite. You stand ALOT better change of filling your livewell that way. JMO though...

    Good luck!
