I got some there back in December the minners held up very well kept them a couple of days and gave them to Charlie to keep in his vat, the only thing I didn't like was the girl counted every minner by picking each individual one out of the net and tossing them into my cooler. I don't expect to get more then I pay for, but them critters are already under enough stress as is and made for a lengthy process when you get 6 or 7 dozen. I know they are fairly new to it and will get better probably already have, I will definitely stop there if I'm going to that end of the lake.

Wish I could help ya, I don't have a vat yet. Thought about putting one up here at the shop, but not sure if I want that bait-shop smell 24/7 at work

I didn't have that problem, Snubbys but Thanks for the tip. If I go by to buy some, I'll try to educate them on stress in a nice way. Like you said, prolly new to minner selling and just don't know.

Good idea on not puttin' it in the shop....the smell may make your guys want to go fishin' instead of coming to work!

Update: Stopped at 51 Market yesterday to sample the minners. The nice lady from Sunday wasn't there, some not so friendly chap assisted me. I ordered 3 dozen of his finest in medium size, got 36 on the nose and the mediums are smaller then the smallest minners I ever did see. $3.99 a dozen and he skimped me on water, didn't even fill my bucket half way. I told him for $12.00 I figured he could have give me at least another gallon of water, lol. Was at 301 Outdoors Tuesday and got larges, good size good count, but $3.49 a dozen, seems the minner gouging is going strong in Desoto county. Really got high hopes for the new Shell...

Dang, that's some high-priced minners! Thanks for the update, Snubbys.

Could talk to an AR guy to haul a few pounds as they head our way. Saul's is 200 miles round trip. $9 per pound for #8's, that's large mediums. $6 per pound if you buy enough. That's about 8 dozen per pound.

I bought some over in bamer Thursday morning and he acted like his vat was gonna run dry if he filled up my bucket! I told him keep it comin, then he counted out 8 dozen minners! I might have got 97 out of him!

At $3.49/dz, I'm not going to complain about the 40 minute drive to get them for $6/lb anymore and I won't be buying any around Arkabulta. Thanks for the heads up!!
