    Default Enough hook on road runner?

    NO, if you're tipping with a minnow there no way to hook the fish, but if you only want to get bites then you're good, I'd say don't run the hook so far back, bring the point of the hook our @ the 4th ring on the bait that should give you enough hook to get the job done. One thing I"ve notice About Road runners sometimes the hook are smaller than I like but they do make them with large sizes too.
    If you don't get hung every-once-n-a-while you ain't jigg'n it right..:D

    Agree, also bend the hook point up a little (1/8'') for better hookups.

    I like a #2 sickle hook personally but that should do.
