Lake Kedron - Peachtree City
Fished Lake Kedron 2/24. Water temp 67. Started off in deeper water (7-10ft) in some of the channels leading to spawning areas - zeroed except for bass. Headed to the bridge to try deeper water but someone was already on the spot I wanted to fish. Decided to work a cove adjacent to the bridge - still nothing with either jigs or minnows. Then a blue heron on the shoreline waded in and snatched one out of the shallows. Lightbulb turned on... Ended up finding some in 2-3 ft of water on a flat and salvaged the trip with a half dozen or so from 10" to 13.5". They were roaming - not locked onto any discernible structure. Catch one or two, then nothing for a while, then one or two. I'm not equipped to troll (yet) so I anchored and put out a couple minnows and cast a jig (gray & black with chartreuse tail) while waiting for them to pass thru.

Nice trip TRL. I have never heard of Lake Kedron. I am glad you posted your trip. I like hearing about lakes I knew nothing about. Just like Tobo, just out of Macon, I have caught so many limits from there and a lot of fishermen that aren't from Middle Georgia have never heard of it. Good luck fishing this spring.
