Honestly I think the 14's have a little more than the 12'. Seems the 12's have more of a parabolic bend where the bend further down the rod. 14's have good backbone.

if for grip, I plan to order some black ones, what size works best on Southern Crappie 12's and 14's?
i have the stiff, 2 ounce SC rods.
    Thanks
Lane, I put it on to protect the handles. Stormwalker over in South Carolina posted a picture last year of some cork handle rods he had done. I lost info on where and what size I ordered. Send him a pm and I bet he can give you the place to order from. Every other place has it in millimeters and a pain to order. One dislike and jury is still out. One day it was super hot last summer and bright. It seemed the red picked an awful lot of heat and was pretty hot to touch. Going to give them another go and see if it happens again, if it does it's coming off.

143 for spider rigging with lighter weights
143T for pushing cranks and power trolling with 2-3 oz weights. Lot of guys are also using them for spider rigging. I prefer the lighter tip and they will fish with 1 oz weights with a bend in tip but still pretty sensitive.

Cray--thanks for info, think I'll wait, I've seen it on Amazon, but metric sizes. Hot doesn't sound good.
i have the 143t, stiff, but I have only for push or pulling crank baits with a 2 or 3 ounce weight.
i use 10 and 12 for spider rigging, or jig single pole. Our water here on my part of Kentucky Lake has color most of the time. I'm not worried about spooking fish.

Thanks. I’m not a netter. I double dip with Huckabee pro series and swing large crappie in the boat. They’re not spider rigging rods tho.
