    I wouldn't strip the bamboo myself but I'm sure they'll hold fish.

    You put concrete in those milk crates? And how was your process? Concrete first or cane first? You will have very good success with those canes for years to come and you will catch fish off those in minutes after you put them out.

    I use a 40lb sack of quickrete and mix it up where it is thick. I cut the bamboo so that the end that goes in the milk crate is pointed so I can put it in one of the openings in the bottom of the milk crate to hold it in place. I put the concrete in first the add the bamboo. I strip the bamboo so that I very rarely have a hang up. I am going to drop all of these I have made together so it is a larger piece of structure. I have dropped singles in the past and they have done well. Just curious to see what a large structure will do.

    Those look great!! When setting mine, I troll along very slowly and drop one off each side of the boat at the same time. That way if you spider rig, you can run up through the middle of them and keep both sides over cover at the same time. If two people are single polling up front, they are not competing for the same spot.
