    Default Big G 18 Feb

Went to one of my old haunts this morning, a causeway on Hwy 79. Had 18 Keepers on the 18th and three shorts! Fish were 5' deep fishing a 1/16th jig with bobby garland chartreuse with glitter seemed to be the trick. Caught a few on minnows too. Couple of guys had been there since 7:00PM night prior, they all walked out with 30 fish apiece. They were fishing minnows under lighted bobbers. Couple of guys around me saw that I was fishing a dropper and loops on my jigs. Showed them all how to tie the dropper and main line loops, then they started catching fish too. I had the secret weapon from Cowboy and they were hitting it pretty good. Of the 18 fish, only 4 of them were females. They are just starting to move into the creeks from the main river. They are pulling like a freight train too! Even the small ones felt like good fish when first hooked. Got a little cold with the N wind blowing this morning but a great day. Dang good mess of fish there!

I fished Polecat Holler and docks north of Signal Point today and managed 1 short bass.
