Helix 9 Si transducer swap
So I just purchased a new in the box Gen1 Helix 9 Si with the standard transducer that comes with it and I am considering upgrading to the HDSI transducer before I mount everything My question is...Is there anyone who has compared the images between the standard and the HDSI.? If so, can you really tell a difference? Is it worth spending the extra money?

Like scrat said, I asked that last week, and after hearing their opinions, I went ahead and ordered the HD transducer. Humminbird only charged me $85 for the upgrade. Thing is, if you don’t upgrade and decide down the road you want to, unless you can find a used one, they’re over $200 on Humminbird’s website. I knew I’d eventually want it so I went ahead and “saved” that money.

Understand that for sure. I went the opposite way because most of the lakes I fish aren’t mapped anyway, except for one or two that I’m wanting to try and learn on up in the spring, so I figured I’d get more out of the HD transducer first.Decided to buy the chip first . Will add transducer later . It's always something anyways lol
