There are a few lakes on post (Fort Rucker). To fish there you first have to get a pass to get on base assuming your not military already. After that you have to have a post fishing permit which can be purchased online. If you operate a vessel then you also have to take their boating safety test. It pertains to Lake Thollocco itself and is the only place to fish with a gas motor. The others are trolling motor only. There is also a 15 and under pond located behind the hospital. If you have little ones then that is a good place also. I mainly fish the choctawhatchee river though. There are several ramps from Newton to the Florida line to access it.
