I had a set of Tipsavers on my boat and ended up getting [and using one part of the second set] because the 14 ft poles sagged in the middle. Expensive, but cheaper than broken rod tips.
I may be getting older but I refuse to grow up.

I have my carrier spaced 10 feet apart. That way they don't sag to much in the middle. I pull all my tips together and wrap a strip of Velcro around them about 2 ft from tip. That keeps them from blowing around and bouncing off each other. Them tips bumping each other can cause them to fracture over time then break when you least need it to.

Be cautious with those long rods only supported in two places. They will sag and flop like crazy going down the road. My buddy had the driftmaster's then started mysteriously breaking rod tips when setting the hook. Only thing I could think of was the flopping was creating stress fractures. I had some of the same poles that he had that were purchased close to the same time and I have had no issues from mine. I have a Cumberland Crappie transport rack. They are more expensive but well worth it. Plus you can easily remove the whole thing and hang it on the wall in your garage.

12 footers on top and 14 on bottom.

    (Don't mind the mess!)

My buddy has since one up'ed me and got himself a 16 rod rack(8 rods top and bottom). No more broken tips. The driftmaster' s are good quality but imo they are not optimum for our long rods.

I'm thinking about seeing if I can buy one of the drift master holders separately. Then I will have three holders and that should fix the issue.

Mine are 78 1/2 inches apart.I have been traveling down the road since 2010 with long poles and have never had a problem.I could see where it might be a problem with the drift masters not being that tall. How do you have them in your rack, here's mine and pic of what I use to tie the tips together when I go out of town.I also store what I tie my tips together with on one of my rear cleats always there when you need it.Name: 20180207_170045.jpg

I would recommend a third support at minimum. My boat stays outside under a cover so that's the main reason I went with one that could quickly be removed entirely.
