(And I thought Harleys and ARs where expensive) 8-)
I am on my 2nd new boat, so double the cost for outfitting 2 boats, because my current boat I did right after learning through trail and error what worked and what didn't.

And what I have spent on AR's (and ammo) don't even come close to what I have spent on crappie fishing in the last 12 years... rods, baits, jigheads, misc. equipment...etc.

Thankfully I make dang good money to spend on my crappie obsession.

Thanks Dutch, Yeah, I plan on a different trolling motor and electronics. I have Multiple Sclerosis so I will need a trolling motor I can run with a remote. My stick steer is for sale to cover the cost of all the extras, hopefully it sales tomorrow. Have a guy coming from Charlotte to test it.

Good luck with the sale. What kind of remote you looking to use. Co-pilot or I-pilot?

Dutch, never used anything but a foot control so will ask yall what you prefer, same goes for electronic. Ive had birds and all failed after a few years. My lowrance has been on the boat several years and works good. My boat dealer told me to get a bird cause they work good with Minn Kotas Trolling motors.

I run a MK Powerdrive V2 with Ipilot and Hbird 999 SI on the front, great combo, never had a issue with either one. I was using the Co=pilot system but I upgraded 2 years ago to Ipilot.
Some of the best money I have spent, I love my Ipilot. I have a Hbird 597 DI on the back, but am ugrading to a HBird Helix 7 DI in a few weeks.

NICE! When you get old like me, you upgrade from a Bass type boat to a stick steering boat. You will understand one day.

    Keep posting your trips.

The iPilot is the best thing I ever bought for my boat. It makes trolling so easy especially when I am helping my wife with a fish or a hang up.

Danbo, IM going from a SS to a bass type boat due to a couple reasons, the 1st is I wanted a bigger boat to fish at least 3 people. My parents are in their 80s and love to fish. It was hard to get them in and out of the boat and it wasnt easy to fish with 3 people. The other reason is I have Multiple Sclerosis and its hard to use my trolling motor with my leg bent. I looked at a few of the new stick boats and just not enough room.
