    Louisiana residents that are 65 years of age or older who hold a valid Louisiana fishing license do not have to buy a Texas fishing license.

    Thanks George, I'm going to try it, I fished LOP once years ago, don't remember much about it, except the wind blew us off the lake.

    Got 20 more years until I can benefit from that license deal, if I make it that long.

    I had never been to Lake O' the Pines so I drove over there this afternoon just to look around. The Johnson Creek Rec Area, Hurricane Creek, and Overlook Launch all looked promising. Tomorrow looks stormy, but Wednesday might be ok...wind forecast from north about 10 mph.

    I have my rain gear ready, winds tomorrow around 5-6 and the rain is supposed to start after noon. I would rather fish in the rain than fish in the wind, as long as it's not a downpour with lighting etc.
