    Default Wheeler 1/22/18 Kayak Trip

I wasted a couple hours fishing in the wrong spot. After I moved, the action picked up. Had my limit and was headed home by about 2:00. Mostly just eater size, but a couple were 14". Caught on minnows and jigs both in about 6 fow. Water surface temps in the low 40's.

Nice. What kind of kayak do you have. Been thinking about getting a couple for me and the wife. Nothing fancy just a couple kayaks we can cruise small lakes and rivers in and do a little fishing on the way.

I have a Field and Stream Eagle Talon. It's my first kayak and I got it on sale for $399. It's not the nicest kayak out there, but I've really enjoyed it since I got it last summer. I think, for the money, it would be hard to beat.

Congrats on the catch. Were I live haven't been able to get on the lake for a month. Everything iced over.

Thanks guys! Just noticed I put the wrong date in the thread title. It should have been Sunday, 1/21.
