Default Hen (soft) hackle for tailing

This chub jig has two hen hackles married for the tail. There is crystal flash in the tail also. Dry hackle neck and chenille body.

That's busy Sonny, looks real nice and should fall slow enough to interest the finicky ones. I can never get two feathers to look right when I try that. I have some blue dun (gray) hen feathers like you used that I use on some smaller jigs that came out nice. Nice to see someone else using feathers I don't see used very often.

Jig looks good and I like soft hackle too so right down my lane. Here is one I did from a cape I picked up, then a pic of the Patch itself.

Oh and soft Hackle can be bought in packs.
