That's about the same thing we saw on Harris and same temp's. Just looked at the Army Corps posting on Jordan and the water down a few feet is 48 degrees. If Freddie saw the same that we saw on Harris, there is still water warm enough for shad to survive. Three straight days in the 60's will definitely help.

I'm a little concerned. Went to Jordan yesterday the water temp was38.64 at it's highest, boats everywhere, bait everywhere never had a bight from the bridge to the s turns. That doesn't bother as much as the birds are just gorging on the shad. We quit fishing and went up in Beaver creek to look around for thinks you can't se at full pool. There must of been a million birds up there and bait all the way back as far as you could go and the birds were warring the bait out. My question is why would the bait be that far back in the creek @ 38 degrees ? I understand when the bait is as thick as it is you won't catch many fish but why it was so shallow I don't know. The bait in the s turns was so thick you could have walked on it but it was way deeper. Maybe some of you guys with more experience could give me some advice.

Be careful on Jordan. The last time we went out, we were returning to the ramp (New Hope Overlook) during Thanksgiving week (lake at this same level). I got distracted and curious about a piece of heavy equipment over in the trees near the point on the left as you head back in. Got into skinny water and had to paddle-push the pontoon boat back to the channel. Chewed up my prop. Gladly, I didn't care for that prop much!
