Good job FF. I drive by that spot often when I take 421 to work.

Tried my little honey hole off of the NE Cape Fear this morning. Only bought a dozen minnows, my intention being just to see if there was life after the hard freeze. Got there at dead low tide and went through a dozen minnows in about 30 minutes. A couple dink crappie, three at 11", lost a big crappie and a big bass trying to sling them on shore, and landed a nice bass. Was really surprised how good they bit. Will go back next weekend with the intention of staying a while and let y'all know what happens.

You know exactly where Jack. That southern most creek channel has some really deep water in it. A lot of the time you can catch em decent in that hole at low tide.
