    Good job buddy. I see you too screw yard sticks to work bench sides. I do do it to all my work stations.

    Does the paint make the hooks harder to pull loose when you get hung up. just wondering because the 214 is lite wire. Did the paint stiffen them any?

    Rickie, I guess you're using the heat gun to activate the paint instead of an oven of some sort?

    I try to keep the paint from extending into the hook bend very far so that the integrity of the "EL" in the 214EL still allows the hook to pull free from snags ...

    The heat gun is just to heat the hook enough to get the powder paint to grab the hook (about 5 seconds with my particular heat gun) ...

    I still bake the lot according to the instructions of 350° for 20 minutes (my wife hates this part because I use her oven) ...
