Blueball sounds like you already got your mind made up on the bgjp's. Sounds to me like you need to have 2 different set ups , one for wind and one for no wind and. If your going to fish tournaments all lakes are different style fishing. Some are casting , some are spider rigging , and for me I long line almost exclusively with jigs only no live bait that's what I have the most confidence in. Same way with your poles it's all about your confidence in your equipment and the style of fishing your going to do. IMO

Minds not completely made up and don't need 2 setups.Buddies capps and colemans perform good with wind and without wind.I have dedicated poles for cranks,longlineing,single pole applications,and spiderriging at the moment.Just working on a better set of rigging rods.I would say my 3 favorite styles are vertices jigging,cranks and rigging,not the best at longlineing but can catch fish.

That's what I'm afraid of,wish the denali's where a little cheaper.Ive fished one time with denali's and it was windy and they performed good.But it's easier to tell the difference when you mix in another brand of rod.The waves will tell you which one is best.

For spider rigging and it being windy and having to add weight say from 1/2oz - 3 oz. it's hard to beat the BnM pole. I push jigs out the front with 6 14ft and long line out the back with 6 poles from 8-12 ft. I use Sam Heaton on those and jig around piers or brush piles. Sometimes I use 1-2 oz on front rods IMO the BnM handle it better. I also use 16 ft scp out the front on certain days due to weather and the lake I'm going to fish

I've never used over 1oz spiderriging(have 1/4,3/8,1/2,3/4 and 1oz rigs in the boat)have never saw the need to yet.The new power trolling method uses heavier weight,I haven't tried it yet though.I figure if I ever try power trolling I will just use my Pst's that I use for pushing cranks,i use 4oz weights with them pushing.
