    Default MFD placement, opinions wanted.

Bought two Garmin echomap 73 sv plus units, two extra brackets and wiring harnesses. Looking for ideas and suggestions.
My thoughts are two mounting brackets on both the bow and console. That way one can do imaging / sonar, the other mapping. Move them around as needed.
Side by side? Stacked? This is where I'm asking for help. I have these :

Yes, I know, it's a mess. I was in the process of relocating batteries, and removing the 21 gallon fuel tank, replacing with a 6 gallon tank. Why? To reduce weight, and get all three batteries in the back of the boat.
The fuel gauge in the dash will no longer be needed once I'm done. I'm debating on removing it, and selling with the old tank.
That old bird mount hasn't worked in years, I've just never removed it. Backlight went out it.
Everything needs to be on the CHEAP! I just blew the snot out of the budget!
I'll be removing that lowrance, that's the one terryd gave me, and giving it away. Again, thank you Terry! That will never be forgotten.

I love my 73sv on the console with the transducer on the transom. Great fixed position on transom allows super SI imaging. I have the other transducer (Helix 10 Mega) on the Ulterra trolling motor along with the Helix 10 on the bow. This allows me to use all the other functions at the point of fishing. Therefore I use the 73 sv for mapping, locating structure and fish then the Helix 10 for the actual hunt. Just my two cents.

I changed from lowrance to garmin on my fishing toon and so far I am well pleased. I got the 93sv on the console and a 73di on the bow.

I have two ram mounts, one short, one long. Was thinking about for the bow.

I like "over and under" at the bow to allow room for rod holders ...

Side by side would be fine at the console as long as the 2 units are not so close together that they smack against each other in rough water on the ram mounts ...

For the console, I was thinking of mounting them directly to the console. Use the ram mounts on the bow, to get them higher, or for over/under configuration.
