The pole I use to put the boards up there with is 6ft, so I'm assuming around 10 ft-12 ft in the air in the total height. The boat I was in I'm about 1.5 ft off the water.

Thanks and congrats on that nice mess of fish!

What about the Hwy 72 bridges on the other side and a bit further north. Those bridges cross some creeks, are they any good for fishing?

Hit or miss only when fish passing through most bridges north of Scottsboro have a lot shallower water up that way and they don’t hold near as many fish as the deeper bridges do!

    Sorry for this delay.

@weezy - Thank you! Yep! That's the spot! There is also a pier by the baseball fields I am hearing people doing good at too. Kawanis Park I think??

@ nathan - Behind Publix is good, behind Wayne Feed Mill, 69 bridge (Brown's Creek), South Sauty bridge and 431 bridge are all great locations. I mainly fish TC because that's where I have great success. Now, some days you won't catch anything at TC, but other days you'll have 3-4 limits! You don't even have to have a boat either! People catch them off the bank all day long! I was very blessed to be introduced to this location because I don't have a boat due to having a car and people scaring me to not buy a boat, LOL, and so therefore I just have to wait for Spring to bank fish. But this has been a great spot for me and seeing people catch them like that from the bank is so encouraging. You got to get there very early though or you won't get a good spot. Like 1-2am and wait for that dawn bite. Now I will say this and my buddy might get upset at me haha, but I like to help other people. During the summer nights, this place is on FIRE! Find you a bridge that sits in a Creek Channel. This is what I do personally when checking out spots, because I don't have a boat yet. I go to https://webapp.navionics.com/#boatin...7B%7BcEv%7BgmO and zoom in and it will tell you the depths and such. Look at the bridges and it will show you Creek Channels and depth. Right now, you might want to look for that close to 30 ft range. Crappie feed up in case you are new to the species, so if you see fish at 15 ft, try fishing like 12-14 ft. Always try to fish above them. If you see them at 10 ft, try like 8 ft. Look for the bait fish and try to fish at that depth too. Crappie will follow the bait fish. Tip: I have seen NO bait fish at all on the FF, then all of the sudden about 30 minutes later, they are everywhere popping the water and you can look down and see just huge balls of them all around your boat! Hold that pole tight!! So just be cool and eat a snack till they show up! Lol. Good luck to you all! Be safe.
