    Default Finally met Hotwater yesterday.


    I finally got to meet Jay at the boat ramp yesterday. We tried to help each other find biting fish but didn't have much sucess. It was good to meet you, Jay. I eneded up with 5 keeper crappie and one striper.

    I might have to go back to a spoon or dropper rig next week. I could see fish just sitting on the bottom.

    It was good to meet you also Don. You beat me on the crappie. I had three keepers. I think I beat you on the stripers. I had two on at once and landed them both. The biggest was 8 lbs and the other was just over 5 lbs. The one on the deck is the 8 pounder. After that battle I only had to re-rig two rods. It could have been much worse. I sent you a PM.

    It was tough on Seminole yesterday also. I could see plenty fish on hummingbird but could only get 5 for a boat ride.

    Good that guys on the forum are meeting each other.

    You two "smoked" me on Lanier.... nary a single scale seen on a crappie, BUT... I did manage my personal best freshwater fish. A 8.81@# striper.

    Musta been REAL TOUGH out there when both of you Ga Gurus couldn't put your heads together to get a good string of crappies. Atleast the stripers saved the day. Better luck next trip.

    i met Hotwater at bass pros hop a while back bought his old trolling rods . i found out it wasen`t the rods that caught the fish . haven't caught any on them .
    retired and now i will always fish
