Default Finally got my uncles rod and reels

Some of you remember posting about my uncle passsing and me finding out i was gonna get his fishing stuff.well i finally got a chance to get them last night.i didnt know what all he had since i hadnt been with him in years. He had 5 old,all metal zebco 33s and what looks like one of the first spinning reels ever made. Lol.doesnt have a name on it.i know this would be nothing to most but i was as happy to have them as if theyd been pflueger presidents. Just because they were his.i may even clean me one of them up to throw a minner out on from time to time.

Many a fish has been caught on a Zebco 33. I still have my first one somewhere. And that old spinning reel might work better than you think.

That's cool, certainly will help to keep his memories close to you thru the years. Catch a bunch with them!

Glad you got them. Clean them up and use them often and enjoy the memories. I would love to have some of my Grand Dad's old rods and reels that Granny let all of us kids fish with back in the 60's. I am not sure who ended up with them, but I am sure that I spent more time fishing in his ponds than any of the other grand kids when I was growing up. I fished almost every day after school and all summer long. I guess it helped living in between both sets of Grand Parents growing up.

Glad you got them, clean a couple of them up and hang them up in your favorite spot in the house.
