Up until this week the crappie have been hiding in the woods. They are finally starting to move away from the timber and can be found in open water. Jim and I combo trolled yesterday until noon. The water temperature was 57 degrees. I pulled double 1/16 oz jig heads and Jim pushed with 3/4 oz of weight over a 1/16 oz jig head. The best jig body for us the last two trips has been a white slider grub with a chartreuse tail. The acid rain and blue ice curly tails are also catching fish. We trolled 1 - 1.2 mph.
