I went to the north end of LOP and brought home 17. I had to leave early for an appointment this afternoon. Sorry I missed you Coach.

I use both. Yesterday I started on shiners then they started hitting jigs. They stopped hitting jigs so I went back to shiners.

Will be there Friday week to to fish the winter deep water bite. I've only fished there in the spring spawn and done really well caught 250 last March 2lb average 2,8 was the best.

Oliverb, we fished today at Card I and just caught a few. We are thinking about coming to LOP tomorrow, but need a little information. What ramp to use, type of structure, depth? Appreciate any help.

If this is happening, both shiners and jigs I like what I do in the summer for this. I put a heavy jig on the bottom of the line and about 12" to 14" above that I tie on a Gamakatsu Drop Shot hook for my minnow. I find normally you will catch more large ones on the jigs, maybe as much as 75% big ones come on the jig! The jig is both weight and bait.

I just fish two poles at the same time one for shiners and one rigged with 2 jigs about 14" apart.
