Bass has the markings of a KY Spotted Bass ... and if it is, then I have little doubt it would have tried to "remove" your BG from the jig, plus give you some serious pullage.![]()

Bite slowed down and so did I - getting too old for this. Tried to replicate yesterdays action. Seemed like the fish were zig zagging back and forth from deeper water to the shallows. Talked to a guy that was telling me was doing pretty good in the east end - almost went back there, but a few biters stopped me.
Finished with a crazy double. Had 2 nice BGs on - landed the 1st. While bringing in the 2nd one - a Bass attacked it. BG must have thrown the hook and it stuck in the mouth of the Bass. Great fight on UL gear but I would rather be catching the "right kind".

I think LP held 3 world record Spotted Bass - after it opened. Severe water reductions - drought - bass guys bringing in largemouth ruined that. I think they are survivors - we have caught some that seem to be all Spotted but a lot of them are hybrids, crossed with largemouth.
This Bass had a very faint rough patch on the tongue - didn't jump at all.....
Nice
