This is a problem I never ran into nor heard of but I need some suggestions.went to refuel my boat ( 13 gal built in tank) and the gas came back out of the fill hole- Checked and no noticeable kink in 1-1/2” fill hose. I have owned the boat over 10 years and never had any problem. Thought the gas pump might have had too much pump pressure but same thing happened hand pouring out of a 2 gal gas can. HELP!!!

I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

First disconnect vent hose from tank. Try the hand pour. If that dosnt cure it remove fill hose and check for obstruction. Most likley something has plugged vent hose.

I had that same problem on a 94 Tracker Pro Deep V 17. There is a small plastic piece that screwed into the bottom of the cap on the tank. I think it has something to do with the venting since there is no other vent on the tank. Anyway that little piece came loose and dropped into the fill hose of the tank. I could only add gas by going really slow. This was like this for a few years. I could never figure out what was blocking that fill line. One day I had the boat out in the drive and for probably the 50th time I was trying to figure out the problem and when I opened that fill cap the sun was shinning just right and I could see "something" blocking the fuel passage going into the tank.
If everything was working on the fill tube prior I would look inside the tube. If you have a vented cap it may have come apart and be blocking the fill tube.
As others said, vent hoses kink, and you'll even see mud dobbers build nests in them.
just getting back to say thanks to all who responded to my plea for help- took hose off and found that a section of the inner wall had indeed collapsed-everything back as it should be-more work that I would have expected but with some help all is well - thanks to CDC members who never fail to respond to a problem- you guys are the best
