Well we had to make a quick trip my buddy had a Dr. appointment after lunch. We got on the water at 9:00 and were off at 11:00 so with the run to Cotaco and back we only fished about 1.5 hours. We caught 3 each, 2 were under and 2 10", 1-13" and 1-14". We ended up with 5 fish for his Aunt, another guy on Cotaco had only caught 1 and he gave it to us as he was leaving. Beautiful morning to be out on the water. All fish were caught on minnows...sorry I really did not note the water temp. I realized on the way home that I did not take a picture at all the whole trip, I am slipping. My wife and friends always say where is the proof if you don't bring home the fish, so I am usually pretty good at taking pictures.

You probably passed me and my dad on the main river trolling from Cotaco to the Triana (Indian Creek) boat ramp. For whatever reason the engine stopped a few hundred yards short of Cotaco. The bulb on the gas line wasn't holding any pressure, and i guess the engine wasn't getting gas, so we are trying to figure out what is going on! We bought the boat brand new 2 years ago, so it's pretty frustrating.

Oh, and the trolling motor stopped working right when we pulled up to the dock....getting the boat on the trailer was a pain!

    So........absolutely terrible day!

Hate to hear about that. We launched on the Morgan County side of the river at I guess what is called the Bluff City launch the opposite way from Triana. If you can pump the bulb by hand and it continues to run you probably have a bad fuel pump. Search the net and I am sure you can probably figure this out. It is probably a fuel pump or sucking air somewhere. You might pick up another fuel line, or replace the O-ring seals in the fuel line if it is sucking air. Good Luck!

Thanks for the advice on the pump. When i pulled the fuel like from the tank and pumped the bulb i got no suction. So maybe the bulb is bad or maybe there is a nick in the fuel line somewhere?? that'd be the cheapest fix if it's the problem!

Wish you had been close enough to Cotaco when we left for us to have seen you, I would have been glad to give you a pull back to Triana. I would have had to drop my budy back off at Bluff City to let him make his Dr. appointment and then come back, but it is not that far.

Max: Sorry for the ungood day. Hope it is a quick, easy fix so you can get back on the water soonest.
