Default Wed ( 11-15 ) lake Monroe - Thanks for the tips

I got to the lake a bit earlier this morning and got off to a good start. It was cooler out and a bit more breezier. I picked a course to set up my drift and put out the rods.

Then I started to change each rod to adjust to the advice I was given.

At the end of the first run I had 10 fish in the live well. Time for a second pass.

By this time I needed to cull some of the fish in the live well. ( I don't like to clean too many at one time. ) So I let a few 10 and 11 inchers go.

I set up for the third pass. The wind was picking up a little more and it had changed direction some. A few more fish came on board and I decided to call it a day.

I boated 22 fish and kept 10 for the ride home. This was my best day of the season. Thanks to ever one for the tips !

another good day at the office !

There ya go. Is the idle zone stuff still in effect on Monroe? Sign at the park says bridge to Highbanks. Planning to be out there saturday on the prowl.

Each trips just a little different than the last, we all laugh at Forest Gump's comment " it's like a box of chocolates, never know what your goin to get", but oh so true.....glad it came together for you today.

that moment when you realized you covered someone else's shift on a Saturday and forgot to write it down, but it seems that everyone else didn't.
