Nice boat, but this lake I would need it to be at least 17' and more is better here. I find my 17' Lund though can handle the rough water this lake can send my way. I do like the looks of your boat!

    Congrats,

Those Extreme boats look great. I also like the Express and War Eagle stick steers.

If you go to the Georgia board and then to boat pics thread on page 9 is some good pics of Danbo's War Eagle. I think on the Louisiana board boat pics thread is an Express.

This is an old thread. I certainly didn’t buy this boat for big water. But I have been caught out in 1.5 foot white caps in 17 MPH winds. At first I tried to go it slow back to ramp....that didn’t work. I opened it up and was skipping along the waves at 31 MPH. Without the suspension seat I would not have been able to do that......I would have literally broke my back. But when arrived back at ramp I was soaked. If one owns a stick steer and fishes in just a little chop and gets on plane you are going to get wet. I despise fishing in the wind....being an avid UL angler the wind is not my friend fishing lines as light as 1# test and jigs at 1/64 ounce. I bought this boat knowing I was basically buying a one man boat......as 95 percent of my fishing is done alone. Just when I think I want one a little bigger I think how easy it is to launch......retrieve.....and move around in the garage. It may be a short boat but it is built like a tank. Almost didn’t get a live well but am now glad I did. It can keep 30 nice crappie alive. It has a big rod locker but if I could do it over again I would only have a rod tray like they use on the trout boats out in Arkansas. Hoping to get hydraulic stick by spring.

    Regards

They are now able to hook up 90 HP engines with stick steer using hydraulic steering. Saw one that was 18 feet with a 60 HP engine on it. Mine is just mechanical steering but really looking forward to getting it.

I use a mechanical stick steer on my 1860 Landau with 50hp ...

Took some tweaking of the deflector fin on the bottom of the cavitation plate but it handles fine ...

    Great looking boat Alpha ...
