didn't do much deer hunting, suddenly this new place I had was surrounded by a family of hunters who literally shot anything they saw, so took up my chair and moved out. oh well still had great time talking to my crappie fishing compadres, catching some nice limits mostly gave away to those who wanted them and when I was leaving buddy who had taken a tumble on those darn dangerous rocks on shore was catching them fast and furious. Promised wife I would come back to STL to go to Fox with her to see Get on your feet musical so couldn't fish but it was HARD to go when the bite turned on.

truthfully I thought I had 11 but ended up with 14 when I counted them. gonna HAVE to get one of those fish counters to wear.

ended up giving most of them to a deer hunting buddy see every year at campground who had a crew of kids with him. plus more to another wayward soul who drove all the way up to t hill from STL just to drop off a thank you pint of honey and a thank you note for crappie and trout we gave to him last winter. guy just can't catch fish but likes it, so gave him some more.
