Good gracious.
Those are beautiful fish for sure. I'd love to spend a day catching that quality of fish.
I always enjoy your pics and posts. Keep em coming!
One question .... why are they "too big" to keep![]()
Over on this side of the world, we're only concerned with "too little" to keep. Are you saying that Cal. (or that lake) has a law that says you can't keep a fish OVER a certain length ??
CP - have a slot limit on the boat for the CNBG, 8" to 9.5" are keepers (if you are keeping fish). We also release hens with eggs. I don't think BGs over 10" taste good - maybe the warm water.....

First one on the tandem rig, won't be long before the doubles start coming. I tried a couple tandem rigs recently and had good success. About 70% took the bottom jig but managed a few from top jig. I was fishing deeper water spacing jigs about 18 inches apart. There was a few tangles but tandem worked pretty good. I hope it does for you as well.

I can only hope to get a few like Sonny posts on a regular basis. Just now getting some Me time after a few months of "House" work. Coming along fine and the fish cooperated last Saturday, over 35 Crappie. Felt good to stretch a line.

thnx jjj - Got one on the top and later on one on the bottom. I can't use the rig in less than 20 FOW @ .8mph. Have a bout an 18" separation as well.
I'm sure you don't have any problems with the Crappie, Skeet. They sure avoid me - LOL.
