    Lightbulb Guppy Lead


    I was reading an article on the www and saw this Guppy lead they are using offshore has anyone on here ever tried this for Spider Rigging or long lining?

    If so lets hear what you have to say about it pros and cons

    I can't find anything on the product. When I first read your title I thought it may be a soft lead product something like you can use for fly fishing where you roll the soft lead around the line. Can you post more info about the product.

    I don't imagine anyone has used them but they would work. Order some and let us know what you think. I checked the website and they are expensive so I will stick to my egg lead.

    Here is what I use. It is removable and I use the #7 (1/2oz).

    Thanks Tim and Joe. A 1/2 oz is heavier than anything I would use longlining but for spider rigging I think they could be used but the cost is more than regular weights and I don't see an advantage to make up the cost. I guess If you are planning to more at a fast troll speed they would come in handy. I'm up for anything that helps my fishing and like the others I would say go for it

    Snap I was talking about the weights the guy was first asking about, not the ones you posted about. I like those and have use some similar to the ones in your link.
